Google Documents - Footnotes and Hyperlinks

Footnotes are most commonly used to add a reference to an article.  You may also use a footnote as a place to add a comment.

  1. To add a footnote, click Insert >  Footnote. At the bottom of your document a line and the number 1 will appear.

Adding a Hyperlink to you Google Document allows the reader to click on the link and go to a website you may be referencing.

  1. To add a Hyperlink,  click Insert > Link. A popup window will open prompting you for the Web address and the Text to display.

  2. The text you add will be underlined in blue and when clicked on will take the user to the designated website.
