Google Documents - Footnotes and Hyperlinks
Footnotes are most commonly used to add a reference to an article. You may also use a footnote as a place to add a comment.
- To add a footnote, click Insert > Footnote. At the bottom of your document a line and the number 1 will appear.
Adding a Hyperlink to you Google Document allows the reader to click on the link and go to a website you may be referencing.
- To add a Hyperlink, click Insert > Link. A popup window will open prompting you for the Web address and the Text to display.
- The text you add will be underlined in blue and when clicked on will take the user to the designated website.
