Google Drawings - Making Transparent Shapes

  1. At the top menu of the drawing, use your mouse to click the Insert tab. From the drop-down menu, click Shapes. Click on the Oval shape.

  2. Use your mouse to click and drag on the blank canvas until your shape is the size you want. Hold the Shift key while dragging to keep the shape a perfect circle.

  3. At the top menu of the drawing, use your mouse to click the Edit tab. From the drop-down menu, click Copy.

  4. At the top menu of the drawing, use your mouse to click the Edit tab. From the drop-down menu, click Paste.

  5. You should now see two identical shapes on your canvas.

  6. Use your mouse to click on one shape to make transparent.

  7. At the top toolbar of the drawing, use your mouse to click on the paint bucket icon.

  8. Click one of the "custom color" squares at the bottom of the drop-down menu to bring up the Color Picker Window.

  9. On the right side of the Color Picker Window is the Opacity Bar, with Opaque at the top and Transparent at the bottom. Use your mouse to click in the middle of the Opacity Bar and lower the opacity level.

  10. Click the blue OK button to apply the new opacity level to your shape.
