Google Drive - Creating New Files

Google Drive is where all your files are stored and managed. It is also where you start if you want to create a new file.
  1. To create a new file, use your mouse to click the Create Button.

  2. In the drop-down menu, click the type of document you would like to create.

  3. You can also choose from thousands of file templates by clicking From template... at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

  4. Your organization may have created templates for you to use, but there are also many public templates you can choose from if your organization allows it.
